History

Wendy Taylor began Women of Influence in 2008.  She is founder of the Prayer Connection, a Registered Charity which she began in 1996 and the wife of Pastor Glenn Taylor of Rose City Community church.  She is a writer, speaker, conference organizer and counselor.

Wendy is a mother to many who have lost their mom.  She has been a foster mom to 165 teenage children.  She is the mother of 2 adopted children and the grandmother to 2 boys, ages 7 and 5 and a 1-year-old baby girl.  She has been adopted by many families to be Nana to their children as well.

Women of Influence began under the name of “Becoming Beautiful”

Wendy saw a need for a local non-denominational conference that would inspire, motivate and encourage women of all backgrounds and ages.

This conference is growing and developing under her leadership and a dedicated committee. It is held twice yearly in the spring and fall.

What we Believe

  • The deity of Christ
  • His virgin birth
  • His sinless life
  • His miracles
  • His vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood
  • His bodily resurrection
  • His ascension to the right hand of the Father
  • His personal return to power and glory
  • The salvation of every man is essential, resulting in eternal life in heaven. They that are lost are condemned to eternal damnation in hell.
  • According to John 3:16, God desires that all come to repentance and accept God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
