Wendy began Women of Influence in 2008.  She is founder of the Prayer Connection, a Registered Charity which she began in 1996 and the wife of Pastor Glenn Taylor of Rose City Community church.  She is a writer, speaker, conference organizer and counselor.  Wendy is a mom to many who have lost their mom.  She has been a foster mom to 165 teenage children.  She is the mother of 2 adopted children and the grandmother to 2 boys, ages 6 and 4 and a 3 month old baby girl.  She has been adopted by many families to be Nana to their children as well.

What are you passionate about, Wendy?

I love reading the Bible and studying it.  I love seeing people come to the Lord.  I love seeing women find their gifting and operate in them and watching them grow.  I love my children and grandchildren.  I love being a mom to others who need one.  I have a mother’s heart and this is my primary calling.  I love organizing conferences and developing new conferences.  I love beginning new Ministries from nothing and watching God grow them to become something miraculous.  I love people mostly but some are definitely more challenging than others.  I love writing and seeing the words come to me before I can type them.  I love getting together with family.  I love living beside the water and watching it’s many moods and colours.  I love colour – bright colours.  I love coordinating outfits with jewelry and decorating my home.  I love being a woman!

What is challenging for you?

Dieting and exercise are probably the top of my list.  I do try to walk as often as possible.  I find relaxing challenging and taking time for myself difficult.  I love Ministry so much that I sometimes overdo what I need to do. (Taking care of me is important or I won’t be able to do what I need to do.)

What do you like to Read?

The Bible; sometimes light Christian romance, although not too much time for that.  Authors I enjoy are John Bevere, Joel Osteen, James Dobson, Joyce Myers and John Maxwell.

What do you do for fun?

I love table games like Scrabble, going for walks by the river, and love to read. Watching a good family movie, travelling with my best friend – my husband – love spa treatments, and cruises are the best.
